I went to a Neko-cafe(Cat cafe) “Kaju” at Shinyashiki, Kumamoto.

There are many kinds of ” cafe” in Japan.

At neko cafe, cuddling cats is not for granted

Such as cat cafe, maid cafe, rabbit cafe, or even owl cafe. In Kumamoto there are some maid cafes and neko-cafes.

Even though these places are called “cafe”, they are not supposed to serve good coffee nor tea. The cafes are places for spending time with “maids” or animals, and visitors get peace of mind.

At Kaju,bottled softdrinks are served.

There are some pre-conditions at Kaju:

・Wear socks to prevent germs which are in soil and harmful(sometimes fatal!) for cats

・Clean your hands before entering the cafe

・Do not use camera flash when you take pictures. It scares cats.・Do not feed cats.

You may think that at a neko cafe, you can stroke cats on your lap as much as you want, but you can’t! (´Д`)

As you know, cats are capricious and it was a hot and humid day, so cats hated being put on human’s warm lap. So if you want a close relationship with them, it would be a good idea to visit the cafe during cold season.

Clerks said the more you visit the cafe, the more you get closer to the cats.

If you love cats, try go there as many times as possible! Then this could be a heaven for you.
