Udon are white wheat noodles in soup made from fish and seaweed stock ( dashi ).
I went to Niku-Niku Udon at Murozono city, Kumamoto.
Nervous at first glance, but after a sip of the soup …

The Udon restaurant serves dark-colored soup udon, which is not prevelant in Kumamoto. So I felt umcomfortable at Niku-Niku Udon first.
And what made me nervous more,is this.
Grated ginger.
Ginger in Udon??? I had never tasted udon with grated ginger before. Does this taste good?
Feeling nervous, I took the firs sip of soup.??? I was still umfamiliar with the taste. But as I took it more, I was getting familiar with it. This is a little surprise for me, and a big opportunity of knowing new taste.
I found the dark-colored soup tasty and noodles chewy (←very important for me). And karaage, deep freid chicken, was also good. (I ordered set meal)
At lunch time, the restaurant becomes very busy. So going there before noon is desirable.
