When an English-speaking people say “I’m home,” a Japanese people say “Tadaima.”

Unlike other translation cases, only tadaima is the possible word for ” I’m home. “

Polite form of Tadaima is tadaima kaerimashita. This is a very formal expression, whichi is (almost always) used to your boss, or someone you admire very much.
 
Tadaima can be used to your friends, families, or colleagues.
 
When you hear someone say ” tadaima,” you are supposed to say ” okaeri ” in return. ” Okaeri ” in English is ・・・” You are home.” or ” It is good you are back ” ???
